Sibling Cuddles (Dec2010)
Took this with my cell phone on New Years Eve when Nathan was watching TV in our bed. He did a good job holding on to her so she wouldn’t fall off the bed, and kept laughing every time she fell over on him.

Christmas morning was at Gary’s sister’s house with this family. It’s always a relaxed and fun time.

Nathan got a Toy Story Snuggie (his request).

Oma had a run-in with a remote controlled helicopter.

Usually we get the cousins in a picture together, but Nathan wasn’t going for it this year.
The holiday was pretty exhausting this year since Hannah was just a month old, and Nathan was on an extended high from several days of presents and junk food. But even so, it’s still always a holiday I love.

Hanukkah went by in a blur this year since it came less than a week after Hannah was born. The timing worked out so that my mom could be with us for the first night, and we had Gary’s parents over then too. It was nice to have the family there to celebrate with us.
Nathan got to use his wooden Menorah to light candles.
We opened presents every night, but isn’t it just like a kid to have more fun with the packaging?
Nathan loved Latkes!

I did a little photo shoot with Hannah when she was about 2 weeks old to get pictures for her birth announcement. Here are some outtakes…
I also took a bunch of pictures of Nathan and Hannah together.
Here’s Nathan and Hannah watching some cartoons one morning in late December. Hannah is about a month old here.
Fenny was definitely interested in the new creature we brought home. But as with Nathan, he’s been very good with Hannah. He can get excited and rambunctious, but when he’s sniffing her and aware that she’s close by, he’s very calm.
Here he is checking Nathan out days after we brought him home.

And checking Hannah out days after we brought her home.

Not much has changed besides the house, and I guess Fen has gotten a tad bigger
The bassinet belongs to Gary’s Grandmother and lots of kids in his family have used it, including him I believe. I love that ours have used it as well.
Holidays aside, December was pretty much just spent starting to find our new rhythm (and we’re, um, still working on that).
Nathan checked out his new sister. He was mildly interested in her and didn’t seem too phased by her at first.

Fen was also interested in the new arrival. He still comes and sniffs her head from time to time, but he’s always generally very careful around her if he’s paying attention.

Nathan liked to lay toys in the bassinet with Hannah. It was very cute.

Hannah had her first bath. She wasn’t a fan at first, but we got it figured out eventually and she is fine with them now…it’s the getting dressed afterward she doesnt like!

Surprisingly Hannah did very little of this. From the beginning she’s been a pretty laid back content baby. Hopefully she’ll stay that way!

Hannah experienced her first snow fall.

I love her long skinny legs in this one.

Thankfully loving her swing and check out the hair! She came out with all that and has gradually lost some, but still has a lot up top.

Beginning to look a little bigger toward the end of the month!

Let’s finish out the rest of November, shall we? Actually, not much to report other than Gary and I now have to get used to saying we have kidS (still sounds weird to me). Nathan seemed to be adjusting fairly well and my mom stayed with us for a few days to help out.
She has loved her hands from Day One

A little sunshine for some slight jaundice. We have to get her levels checked once after leaving the hospital but after that she was fine.

The first sibling pose (which I could only convince Nathan to do if he was allowed to have Woody in the photo)

We ended up with very similar pictures of Oma and Grandma with Nathan and Hannah right after they were born. See for yourself…
