Okay, I know. We have been bad about posting on the website. There’s not much going on right now. We’ve kind of gotten into a groove, finally. Nathan is becoming more fun and more aware everyday. He’s a big smiler nowadays. Unfortunately we’re still battling reflux so it has made for some rough nights, but we’re getting through it.
So here are some cute videos of Nathan from just the other day. Enjoy.
I saw my first smile yesterday. It was a half smile, but it was perfect! Gary had seen some smiles already but I hadn’t been so lucky yet. Today I managed to get one when I did Gary’s patented fish face… maybe Nathan likes having his cheeks squished?
Nathan is 6 weeks old today and had two exciting firsts!
He had his first outings in the Baby Bjorn. One of the trips was to BJs and was for an hour or so and he did really well. I think he was too small for the Baby Bjorn initially, so I feel some relief knowing that he will tolerate it now and errands might become a little easier. There’s definitely something nice about having two free hands and no bulky stroller! Or a shopping cart that is not 80% filled up with a carseat.
In other exciting news, we are very proud to announce that Nathan had his first trip to a liquor store. Just a small local store this time…we wanted to break him in. Next time we’ll try out the giant wine and liquor-mart to see how he does.
The last 6 weeks seem to have flown by. Nathan is doing really well. He’s growing like a weed it seems and is now over 9 1/2 lbs. Right now he mostly just sleeps, eats, cries, poops, stares at walls and occasionally at us and makes lots of baby noises. He has reflux which has meant some interesting projectile spit-ups and sleeping in the carseat. Hopefully the medication we’ve just started will help and he won’t be as uncomfortable anymore.
More updates to come, hopefully more often than they have been so far.
